Graduates never forget

Never! I would never forget to post on May 5! Not in a million summers!
Well, maybe… but that’s 25 days behind us, so just forgive and forget, eh? No!? Alright then… I’ll post twice!

As the title states, I am now a high-school graduate. Usually, this means that I’m done with school, but not so. I have one more test to take in Literature, and then I’m done with the second longest section of my life. It’s bittersweet. I’ll be off to college (college! how distant that used to sound) in eleven weeks.

I’m still trying to cope with missing everything. Surprisingly, I don’t believe I’ll miss my family as much as I’ll miss our church, just because I’ll stay in contact with the family weekly. But all of the church: the choir (I’ll never play for them again), the special music (I’ll never accompany them again), the Awana Sparkies (I’ll never listen to their sections again)… all of the church I must leave behind.

So, for eleven weeks, I’ll be spending as much time as I can at church. Pastor and I are starting a mentoring program that will go each Thursday from 7 AM to 8 PM. If I’m not sick of being there for thirteen hours then, my sisters and I will be heading up a puppet ministry. Hopefully these will tide me over until next summer when I can come home and (hopefully) jump right back in again.

Until tomorrow – work hard, play hard, and get lots of roughage in your diet.
